“Crossing the Seas” Chamber Music with Japanese Drums by Midori Larsen

Long Island City, NY— A unique combination of traditional Japanese taiko drums and Western musical instruments, “Crossing the Seas,” a series of contemporary chamber music by Midori Larsen, returns to Culture Lab LIC on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 5pm. Inspired by her own stories as an immigrant woman and a mother artist, the music features woodwind, piano, guitar, bass, percussion, and taiko drums, integrating elements of classical, jazz, and Japanese music accompanied by aesthetically crafted video projection.
