Come On In!

[Flushing/Kew Garden Hills, NY]: Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry today is announcing their goal to reach 500,000 New Yorkers each year! As of last month, we reached approximately 20,000 homes (i.e., September 2023). As a Jewish Food Pantry, one of the few of its kind in the borough of Queens and within New York City as a whole; Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry a Kosher Food Pantry that serves an assortments of dry goods, canned goods and fresh fruits and vegetables “via an open market and client choice system”

Features and/or benefits of Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry includes the following:

• A Client Choice System (via Plentiful)
• Canned Goods
• Fresh Produce
• Various Non-Perishable Items

Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry is open from Sunday through Thursday at the following times:

Sundays: 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Mondays and Wednesdays: 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.

According to TEFAP Eligibility (The Emergency Food Assistance Program), anyone can pick up food who receives food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, etc. OR eligibility is determined by income (e.g., one (1) person has an income less than or equal to $30,578, two (2) persons have a combined income less than or equal to $41,198, et al.).

Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry was established in 1990 and incorporated in 1992 in the Kew Gardens Hills, NY area. Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry holds the belief that “nobody should have to choose between diet/religion and going hungry” (Source: https://www.kehilatpantry.org/about-us). Therefore, the pantry is open from Sunday to Thursday to meet your dietary needs!
