On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Park Slope’s P.S. 118 Maurice Sendak Community School will unveil a free, public outdoor art installation celebrating student creativity and spotlighting the vital role of arts education in public schools. The showcase is supported by Brooklyn-based artist-performers Rachel Sherk and Aaron Rourk — the founders of MAPS, a nonprofit organization that brings art and music education to underfunded youths and adults.
