Playful Puppetry Workshop

April 13, 10:30 amnoon.
$50
puppet

In this engaging, hands-on workshop, participants will learn new storytelling and theater techniques with professionally built puppets. Using finger, hand, string, shadow puppets and more, kids engage with their imaginations and this timeless art form like never before!

With each puppet, we play an improvisational storytelling game, ultimately devising our own new myths. We’ll also craft an original puppet to take home and practice our newfound skills!

Led by Jocelyn Greene and Charlotte Gaspard. Charlotte is a performer and designer whose work includes the Public Theater, Shakespeare in the Park, the Juilliard Costume Shop, the Westside Theater, New World Stages, and Signature Theater. Charlotte is the Artistic Director of Midnight Radio Show, a shadow puppet theater company whose residencies include productions at La MaMa, National Puppetry Conference and New Orleans Giant Puppet Festival. Jocelyn is the Founder & Executive Director of Child’s Play NY.

For ages 5-9.
