The Happy Mail Project: A Postcard Workshop

When was the last time someone mailed you something that delighted you? The Happy Mail Project is exactly what it sounds like. Help send Happy Mail. They’ll bring the postcards, stamps, and art supplies. You bring the address of someone you want to make smile. This is a relaxed, open-ended afternoon of artmaking for all ages. This workshop accompanies Lucy Shaiken’s exhibition “Bookends” . Bookends is a show about home and family. Meals, togetherness, and quiet moments come forward as themes in this show. The soft warm light and intimate points of view invite the viewer into these scenes. The paintings welcome them into a world of comfort and care as if they are warm and sleepy and have just finished a meal. Think of this workshop as a small way you can create togetherness with someone you love!
