Tree Journals: Exploring the Life of Trees at the Hudson Park Children’s Greenhouse
Take an immersive journey into the world of trees: students will create their own journals while studying the fascinating biology and anatomy of local trees. Hands-on activities include crafting artwork from tree disks, making stunning sun prints using leaves, pinecones, and twigs, and creating detailed rubbings of various tree textures. This class offers a unique blend of science and creativity, allowing students to connect with nature and develop a deeper appreciation for the trees in the area. This engaging class is part of the 4-H Explorations for Educators series, presented by the Cornell Cooperative Extension-Westchester County (CCE/WC).
